In line with the Goscor Group’s strategy of maintaining highly focused business units, leading equipment supplier, Goscor has spun off its compressed air business into a separate business unit.
Formerly part of Goscor Power Products (GPP), the new division, which includes the Sullair range of products, will be known as Goscor Compressed Air Systems (GCAS).
New GCAS GM, industry stalwart Paul Combe, who has managed the compressed air business at Goscor since it came into the group in 2005, says that the main challenge moving forward will be supplying energy-saving solutions to the local compressed air industry. “Everyone is under pressure to be as efficient as possible and in Sullair we have a significant competitive advantage in this regard,” says Combe.
He adds that he is confident that the compressed air’s newfound ‘independence’ will help the business in these tough economic conditions. “We will be able to focus on what we are the best at and I have no doubt that this will improve our position considerably in the marketplace.”
Sullair, is world-renowned for its portable and stationary single/twin screw compressors for the construction, drilling, industrial and related industries. Sullair rotary screw vacuum pumps are also part of the range. These are used extensively in the hospital and related markets and are renowned or their reliability and low maintenance requirements.
“We will continue to offer our customers the best overall solution for their compressed air needs backed up with the world-class service for which we are famous,” concluded Combe.
